100 Hour Voluntary Community Service Plan

Use this volunteer paperwork to document official community service hours as required for the Bright Futures Academic Scholars Award. Note - there are no hours required for graduation or any other Bright Futures award other than that listed above. Pages 2 and 3 must be completed in full with appropriate signatures and then be approved by your guidance counselor prior to starting ANY volunteer hours.

Bright Futures changes for Class 2012 and the next years to follow.

Increase in community service requirement (and hours increase for Florida Academic Scholars) for all three Bright Futures award levels. Bright Futures Florida Academic Scholars (FAS), Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS), and Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars (GSV) during the 2011-12 academic year, and thereafter, must complete:

FAS – 100 hours

FMS – 75 hours

GSV – 30 hours
